STEM - you are seeing it everywhere! What exactly is STEM? STEM is the acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math education.  It's even gaining the attention of President Barack Obama. The President is quoted as saying: "Science" is more than a school subject, or the periodic table, or the properties of waves. It is an approach to the world, a critical way to understand and explore and engage with the world, and then have the capacity to change that world..."1

The Holy Savior Academy located in South Plainfield, NJ serves Pre-K through Grade 8. Holy Savior Academy operates on the belief that "Using 21st Century Technology to Teach 21st Century Minds". To further their ideology, the school recently underwent some renovations of converting a classroom into a much needed science lab. Longo Labs was selected to plan the space, and to provide and install furniture from Labscape. Located in Walpole, MA, The Norfolk County Agricultural High School is a public high school with a population of over 500 students. The school grounds cover 365 acres offering such concentrations in Animal and Marine Science, Plant Science, Environmental Science, and Diesel and Mechanical Technology. Students attend both academic and vocational classes every day. This high school represents only one of the three schools in Massachusetts advocating agriscience [1] and agribusiness [1].

The oldest community college in New Jersey, Union County College, has been in existence since 1933. The College has been providing the path to success for students by preserving their promise to education by supporting a strong liberal arts base in addition to an ongoing commitment to new programs. Union County College opened its new biology labs in January of 2015 in the Sidney F. Lessner building located on the Elizabeth, NJ campus.

Sullivan County Community College located in the beautiful Catskill Mountains on a 405 acre campus is part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system.  The campus is located less than two hours from New York City and boasts nine interconnected buildings as well as the Paul Gerry Fieldhouse.  The college offers over 40 associate degree and certificate programs and last year had over 1,600 students.  The college recently underwent a renovation of their chemistry lab and chose Sheldon Laboratory Systems products for the project. These upgrades were purchased off the Middlesex Regional Educational Services Commission (MRESC) contract.
