Longo Labs features a complete offering of laboratory casework designed for use in middle school science classrooms, high school science laboratories, and university laboratories.

Laboratory casework comes in many different sizes and configurations, depending upon your high school chemistry laboratory’s storage needs. During the design or remodel phase, it’s important to consider your storage needs, the use of the laboratory, and the size of the space when determining what kind of casework will best work.

Base casework sits on the floor; in addition to providing storage, it also provides support for classroom tabletops. Base casework can be configured with drawers, doors, or a combination of the two.

Upper and wall casework is mounted on perimeter walls, while tall casework provides a long, vertical space running from the floor toward the ceiling. Specialty casework for tote trays, glass, scientific equipment, and hazardous chemicals is also available.

Laboratory casework can be fixed or modular. Modular casework can be moved, which makes it an efficient and economical choice for middle school science laboratories, high school science laboratories, and university science laboratories with changing needs. Instead of removing and replacing casework during a remodel, it can simply be moved and reconfigured.

Laboratory casework comes in many different styles and materials, including wood and plastic laminate. Each type of material has its pros and cons. When choosing casework, it’s important to think about whom it will be used by, the laboratory environment, and the desired aesthetics of the space.
