Another NJ High School’s Science Lab Renovation Project Shines with Longo Labs Furniture standard

The Plainfield High School, located in Plainfield, NJ, is home to grades 9 thru 12. Plainfield High School was founded in 1857, which makes it the second-oldest high school in the state of New Jersey. With a student body of about 1,500 students, there was a need for updates to the science labs. The newly renovated biology labs, chemistry labs, physics labs, general science labs and prep rooms were all part of a $2M project which encompassed 16 rooms and included furniture provided by Longo Labs, as well as their design expertise.

New Labs Coming to Perth Amboy High School standard

Perth Amboy High School is located in Middlesex County in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. The current school population is about 1900 students and serves grades 9-12. Built in 1971, the existing Perth Amboy high school was in need of some multi-phased lab renovations. Currently, the high school is in the process of a six phased lab renovation project.

Longo Labs Modernizes High School Lab Space standard

With almost 50 years of experience, it’s no wonder Longo Labs was chosen by Tom Lonardo and Associates Architects to work on a modernization project for a 1960’s science lab space. The renovation was for a chemistry lab and prep room at the Johnston High School located in Johnston, RI. Johnston High School is home to nearly 900 students in grades 9-12.  With a student body of that size, bringing the chemistry lab and prep room up to the 21st century was a top priority. The high school was also recently awarded a new 5-year accreditation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) – the oldest regional accreditation association in the United States.
